Rs 78 lakh Hundi collection in Annavaram temple

The famous Annavaram Satyanarayana Swamy temple in East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh has recorded a 'hundi' collection of over Rs 78 lakhs in a month.
According to temple sources, large number of devotees from abroad and several parts of Andhra Pradesh besides neighbouring states thronged to the temple in the last 35 days and offered prayers as well as performed marriages which added up to the high collection.
"When we opened for counting of 'hundi' we found foreign currencies in Dollars and Kuwait Dinars among others. Also, an unidentified devotee has donated 22 gram gold necklace to God Satyanarayana Swamy," they said.
With this, the gold received through hundi has gone up to 93.30 grams; silver-1006 grams, and the total hundi collection stood at Rs 78,42,059 lakhs they said.
