Hospital spokesman Mohan Rajan said the actor went home this morning. His condition had improved since on Friday.

Saif was admitted to the hospital on December 25 after he complained of acute stomach pain. He had been kept under observation since then.

Sources close to the 38 year old actor said he is 100 per cent fit now. It was an intestinal infection probably due to eating too much spicy food, they said.

The actor had flown in from Philadelphia, US where he was shooting for a film, to celebrate Christmas with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor's family.

Kareena and her sister Karisma were with Saif through out his three day stay in the hospital.
