Shah Rukh Khan was in the Capital on Wednesday, and although many fans were thrilled by his visit, a large part of the city literally came to a standstill thanks to the actor. Most of Delhi’s roads were jammed on Wednesday, and many are citing fans thronging to Pragati Maidan to get a glimpse of their favourite star as a reason for the traffic chaos.
The actor may be in desperate need of a blockbuster of late, but that doesn’t stop him from acknowledging his rival’s work. “Aamir [Khan] is the biggest star and the finest actor. I think one needs to work like that to be as good an actor,” says SRK while talking about the success of
Though he has read the book Five Point Someone, he is yet to catch up with the movie. “I just watched it for 10 minutes [at the Mumbai premiere],” he says.
As of now, he is reading less and writing — rather tweeting — more. “I’m very shy and reclusive But I’m liking it,” he says.
Reacting to reports that he was supposed to work in film based on social networking sites, the actor says, “I was never acting in the film, Red Chillies it’s only producing it. It’s going to be a launch pad for four new actors.”
In town to lauch the new Hyundai i10 Electric, SRK got nostalgic at coming to Pragati Maidan. “My father had a shop here. It feels nice to walk in here after nearly 30 years,” he says.
