A special prayer was performed at Sri Bihari Lal Digamber Jain Mandir in Maidagin area today. Members of Jain community performed a special ‘abhishek’ of Bhagwan Parshwanath with 108 `kalash’ and offered ‘laddu’.
The devotees were reciting devotional songs such as ‘Tumse Laagi Lagan, Lelo Apni Sharan’ and ‘`Paras Pyara Meto Meto Ji Sankat Hamara’ etc. on the occasion. It is believed that Bhagwan Parshwanath had taken incarnation in Varanasi.
Nemchandra Jain, Bhupendra Jain, Pradeep Chandra Hain, Vinod Kumar Jain, Rohit Jain, Sadhana Jain, Vidhu Jain, Manjulata Jain and Manju Jain were among others who offered prayer at Digamber Jain Temple in the morning today.
Members of Sankalp, a social, cultural and educational organisation, also performed prayer at Digamber Jain Mandir today.
