Saurashtra Mail engine derails at Okha station

The engine of Okha-Mumbai Saurashtra Mail today derailed at Okha while being brought to the platform from the yard area, railway officials said.

There were no casualties and and the rail traffic remained unaffected, they said adding, this was the second such incident in as many days.

On Wednesday, the engine of the Okha-Rameshwaram Express had derailed in a similar fashion, according to the officials.

A team of experts is examining the track and efforts are on to rectify the problem that caused the twin derailments, they added.
