The Bench headed by Chief Justice YK Sabharwal allowed Vanasthali Public School in Patpatganj to run till this academic session.

The Vanasthali Senior Secondary School, which was operating from DDA land for the past several years, was sealed on November 30, despite a High Court order in favour of the school management.

The MCD action came after Supreme Court monitoring panel asked the civic body to seal the school citing apex court ruling that all establishments on encroached land should be targetted during the drive.

The school has about 2,500 students studying in classes upto Class XII.
