The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned hearing on a petition seeking review of its earlier order upholding transfer of Ayodhya case trial to Rae Bareily while asking the petitioner to amend its review petition.

The court, however, categorically rejected the plea of the petitioner to stay the ongoing trial proceeding before the Rae Bareily court.

The Bench comprising Justice S Rajendra Babu, Justice KG Balakrishnan and Justice Arun Kumar asked petitioner Mohammad Aslam alias Bhure "to remove all offending portions" from the petition and said "we will take it up for hearing only after you comply with this direction".

The court said it will take up for hearing two other petitions challenging the CBI action to drop conspiracy charges against Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, Union Human Resources Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi and other BJP and VHP leaders in its latest chargesheet filed before the Rae Bareily court.
