Schnyder made a mockery of the negligible difference in world rankings -- the Swiss is eighth while Myskina is 14th -- annihilating the Russian in just 55 minutes.
Myskina, the 2004 Roland Garros champion, produced an error-ridden performance, getting less than half her first serves in and committing 32 unforced errors.
Seventh seeded Schnyder faces third seed Amelie Maursemo in the last eight.
