Security tightened at airports

The security drill follows widespread protests over Mohd Afzal's hanging.
The Security was strengthened at airports in Tamil Nadu in view of protests in various parts of the country against execution of Parliament attack case convict Mohammed Afzal on October 20, sources said on Saturday.
The sources at Meenambakkam airport in Chennai said an instruction has been received from the Central government on enhancement of security at all airports in the country.

Passengers and visitors were being frisked and their baggages checked thorougly since Saturday morning at Chennai and Coimbatore airports, sources added.
