The suspended officers include former additional commissioner of police Bipin Bihari, who had arrested Chaturvedi last March under false charges of trying to kill Chaturvedi’s business rival, builder Rashmikant Shah.
After getting bail, Chaturvedi had moved the State Human Rights Commission alleging that he had been framed. The case was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department. Investigations revealed that Chaturvedi’s arrest was hatched by Shah, under pressure from Bihari.
