The campaign will be launched under the banner of ‘Youth for Equality’.
The campaign will coincide with the admission process. It will be conducted in the BHU, the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, the Harishchandra Postgraduate Degree College and the Udai Pratap College. Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS-BHU) Resident Doctors’ Association general secretary Dr Mahesh P. Kate said, “There is a need for consensus against reservation policies, as it is going to adversely affect the education system. That is why we have planned this campaign from July 15,” he said.
Senior students have already launched a signature campaign in Varanasi.

Undergraduate and postgraduate students of the IMS-BHU had gone on a fortnight-long anti-quota strike in May. Students at the Institute of Technology had launched an anti-reservation ‘Pen Down Movement’ from April 12 to 14.
