Serial blast cases: Two declared 'wanted and absconding'

A judicial magistrate court in Coimbatore has declared two persons wanted in connection with the 1998 Coimbatore serial blast cases as 'wanted and absconding accused' and asked them to appear before it on October 12.

A judicial magistrate court here has declared two persons wanted in connection with the 1998 Coimbatore serial blast cases as 'wanted and absconding accused' and asked them to appear before it on October 12.

The Fifth Judicial Magistrate Gopinath in a proclamation notice declared Mujibur Rahman alias Muji and Sadiq alias 'Tailor' Raja alias Vazharntha Raja as 'wanted and absconding accused,' and concealing themselves to avoid the service of warrants of arrest, a Special Investigation Team, CBCID, release said on saturday.

Both the accused are absconding for the last 12 years and SIT-CBCID had returned the warrant of arrest issued by the Court, according to the release. Both are required to appear before the court to answer the complaint by CBCID, the release said.
