Shame Warne again? The Mirror says yes
Australia seem to be going through a nightmare. On the field, they have lost three games in a row. To England in their Twenty20 match-up, to Somerset in a warm-up and then came that disastrous shocker at Cardiff on Saturday.
Australia seem to be going through a nightmare. On the field, they have lost three games in a row. To England in their Twenty20 match-up, to Somerset in a warm-up and then came that disastrous shocker at Cardiff on Saturday.

Off the field, Andrew Symonds cut a lone figure as he watched his team-mates being mauled by the minnows of world cricket and then, ravaged early on Sunday by Steve Harmison in Bristol. He is out of the XI after flouting rules by reportedly boozing through the night on the day before an international.
But Sunday’s papers also had one more sordid tale – that of Shane Warne being “caught cheating on his wife with a pretty blonde student”. The lead story in London’s Sunday Mirror told of how Englishwoman Laura Sayers, 25, spoke on how “Warne stripped naked in front of her before begging for sex.”
The Australian Associated Press (AAP) report in Sydney Morning Herald quoted Sayers as giving the gory details of her one-off encounter with Warne, currently captaining English county Hampshire, to the London tabloid. The report said: “It was the latest sex scandal to surround Warne after his text message scandal with British nurse Donna Wright in 2000 and later accusations he had an affair with stripper Angela Gallagher. Sayers said she met Warne through one of her friends who was dating Warne's Hampshire teammate Kevin Pietersen, and the four went out to a nightclub and then Pietersen's flat.”
“The first thing (Warne) said was 'How about a foursome?'," Sayers said, adding that she was offended and told him off. The group returned to Pietersen's flat, where Sayers said the cricketer again asked her to have sex.” Warne, who, it may be recalled lost his vice-captaincy and any chance of being captain of Australia after the Wright affair (no pun intended). Incidentally, his wife Simone and sons apparently flew down from Melbourne to join him only last week.
The Mirror report continued: "He left me in the lounge and went into the bedroom and called out for me to join him. I walked into the bedroom but I told him I wasn't interested in having sex with him. He took off all his clothes and I asked him if he had a condom, I guessed he didn't, so I thought that would be the end of it.” Laura said Shane ran out of the room and returned with a condom. She added: "When he came back I just gave in." The reports said that Warne’s brother and manager Jason, had been contacted but said he could not comment till he spoke to Warne and read the Mirror report.
