Former Union Minister Shanta Kumar of BJP has been defeated from Kangra parliamentary constituency in Himachal Pradesh.
He lost to state forest minister Chander Kumar of Congress by 17791 votes. The Congress wrested the seat from the BJP. Shanta Kumar had won from Kangra in 1989,1998 and 1999.
