The young and energetic members Chaitali and Ashutosh have framed a useful and interesting course for those who want to enhance their memory skills. Currently, more than 40 city children are gaining from the workshop which started on Thursday morning.
Chaitali said that the workshop was aimed towards those children whose parents were unable to support them in their studies but of course they expected their children to score well in examinations.
"We want the children to learn the ways of tapping their potential which they possess but they are unable to use it due to lack of proper guidance.
Teachers too sometimes prove a failure in this regard as they can only ask students to learn lessons without telling the exact techniques," she said.
Ashutosh said: "We talk about the mind but unfortunately we don't know about how to have a co-ordination between our conscious and sub-conscious mind which is the crux of everything. "Right from developing a positive thinking and concentration we are also laying stress on meditation such as meditation for better recall, relaxation and invoking hidden powers of mind," he said.
Interesting topics will be taken up by the duo. Although these topics are technical, they will be discussed in the most simple language with the students.
"Guidelines for making the most out of power of imagination, introduction to memory techniques, motivate yourself, walk the talk, how to take failures positively, personality development and other prominent topics will be taken up in the workshop.
Parents will be called in the last session on June 7 as we want to carry the practice forward after we leave," said Ashutosh.
The workshop is meant for children above 11 years of age. "We cannot deny the fact that suicidal tendency has increased among children.
Too much stress and parental pressure is the main reason. However, the workshop will cater to bring in positive attitude among children and relieve them from stress. We have received a good feedback from the schools at which we have conducted the workshop," said Chaitali.
