TWO activists of Shiv Sena were beaten up during a clash between two groups when they protested against abuses to Hindu deities by some Christians, who were allegedly carrying out conversion in the name of curing diseases.

Town Inspector D V S Chouhan said Shiv Sena office-bearers Kamlesh Yadav and Ravi had gone to confirm an information that conversion was carried out in a house where diseases were being healed as per Christian beliefs.

Kamlesh and Ravi protested against using abusive language for the Hindu deities. On this, people present their allegedly beat and abused them, resulting in mayhem.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and controlled the situation. Later, Hindu outfits staged protest in front of police station against the incident.
