Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) on Tuesday issued notices to Inspector General of Police Kashmir range and Deputy Commissioner Kupwara asking them submit a report on the alleged firing by army on protestors at Kupwara on Saturday.

Taking suo motu cognisance of reports in local media about the incident, acting chairman of the SHRC HU Bhat directed IGP SM Sahai and Deputy Commissioner Asfandyar Khan to submit the report by February 25.
