Speaking to reporters here, Siddaramaiah accused some BJP MLAs of lobbying for Yeddyurappa, which he termed as "a shame on the part of the party".

The Opposition leader in the Assembly urged Lokayukta Santosh Hegde to issue suo moto notice to the chief minister in the wake of some of his party workers allegedly trying to influence the Lokayukta against indicting Yeddyurappa in the report on illegal mining.
