They demanded stringent action for the police personnel for their negligence in handling the incident. Terming the incident as an assault on the religious feelings of the Sikhs, they said the Sikh community was planning to give a bandh call as it was simmering over the incident and effective steps were needed to cool down their anger.

The procession started from Gurudwara Jatashanker, passed through various routes and later converted into a demonstration at the district magistrate’s office. Delivering his views on this occasion, Sardar Ram Singh said that the incident had shocked the Sikh community across the country.

He said the silence of the administration on this sensitive issue revealed that the Rajasthan government was partisan towards the miscreants.

Senior leader of the community Sardar Balbeer Singh said it was an attack on the religious sentiments on the Sikh community and repeatedly said the community would launch a massive national agitation if the government failed to take stringent action against the miscreants.
