As per investigations carried out by police, SIMI provided local logistics for the deadly blasts in Mumbai that claimed 190 lives and left over 600 injured.

The magnitude of the sychronised blasts have conclusively pointed to the use of RDX by the attackers, official sources said in New Delhi.

Several modules of LeT and SIMI were busted and huge amount of explosive materials, including RDX, were recovered during raids at various places in Aurangabad, Nasik and Nagpur in last two months, they said.

During investigations, it also came to light that similar modules of LeT were actively operating in several towns of Maharashtra besides Hyderabad and Bangalore.
