Two thousand fellowships for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes students for pursuing M Phil/Ph D from select universities in 2005-06.
Six AIIMS-type medical institutions will start in different parts of the country in the near future, Chidambaram said.
For Sarvashikha Abhiyan, the allocation has been raised to Rs 7156 crore.
