Six Sri Lankan refugees feared drowned

Six persons on the boat were saved by the Coast Guard personnel and brought to the Mandapam coast.

Six Sri Lankan refugees were missing after the boat in which they were travelling capsized on its way to the Indian coast early on Saturday morning, official sources said.

The boat carrying at least 12 persons capsized near Indham Theedai (fifth isle) while it was heading towards Dhanushkodi, they said.
