SK Sharma takes charge of Powergrid, NRTS-II
SK Sharma,executive director has taken over the charge of Northern Region Transmission System -II of POWERGRID.SK Sharma shall be responsible for operation and maintenance and project execution of EHV/ UHV transmission lines and substations under central transmission projects in the states of JK, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh.

SK Sharma is a post graduate mechanical engineer from Bylorussian Engineering Institute, USSR and a competent professional with over 30 years of extensive experience in project management, execution, Construction, operations and maintenance in power sector.
Prior to joining POWERGRID in 1992, Sharma has served in National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd. (NHPC). Among his major achievements is construction of India's First 800 KV Transmission line between Kishenpur and Moga, 765 kV Bhiwani- Moga transmission system and Uri-II transmission systems.
