A slight intensity earthquake on Friday shook neighbouring Nepal, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

The quake, measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale, was recorded at 1330 hours.

It was epicentred at 29.6 degrees North Latitude and 80.9 degrees East Longitude, the Met department said.
