Smartcity projects business development Manager, Mithun Beeru and other officials also will be accompanying him, Smartcity project sources in Kochi said.

Tecom, the promoters of the project, have asked for freehold land over 39 acres alloted to it by the Kerala Government.

Kerala Fisheries and Registration Minister and Project Chairman, S Sarma had two days ago said that coming with such a demand even before the masterplan was ready, cannot be agreed to and was 'untimely', he said.

Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan had stated that the Smartcity project was being delayed due to financial constraints of the project developers.
