According to All India Citizens’ Alliance for Progress & Development (AICAPD), the children of migrant labourers live in temporary hutments which lack basic amenities like clean water, hygienic surroundings and power.
Roopa Gir, adviser, Schlumberger, and also an alumna of IIT-Roorkee, has contributed 35 solar lamp panels.
Gir, during her visit to Bhondsi village, found it ironical that the villagers, who help build skyscrapers in Millennium City, have to live without a lamp post. The project will be launched by commissioner T K Sharma at the grounds near Badshahpur toll plaza on Sohna Road on Sunday.
