Mukul, a young boy, is haunted by memories of his previous life. He is taken to Dr. Hajra, a parapsychologist for treatment. The doctor discovers some drawings made by Mukul that represent scenes from the past. It emerges that events had taken place in a fortress where the boy’s father had worked as a gem-cutter.

The doctor believes that a fortress in the drawings may be located in Rajasthan, and decides to take the boy on a trip there in the hope that this might provide a cure.

Alerted to this strange phenomenon by newspaper reports, some bandits kidnap Mukul in the hope of laying their hands on what they believe is treasure. Meanwhile, Felu the detective is engaged, along with his assistant Tapesh, to recover the child. Based on his own novel, Ray’s The Golden Fortress is an exciting and fun-filled journey and a thriller for people of all ages.
