Sonia waved at the crowd to a thunderous applause. She burst out laughing when Punjab Congress affairs in charge Gulchain Singh Charak, while conducting the proceedings, asked the gathering in chaste Punjabi to raise slogans in favour of the Congress louder.
The Congress president was seen holding discussions with Amarinder Singh while she shared some light moments with leader of opposition in Punjab vidhan sabha Rajinder Kaur Bhattal on dais.
On her turn, she delivered an aggressive speech on failure of the SAD-BJP combine government in Punjab. The audience observed pin drop silence during her 15 minutes authoritative talk.
