The Congress chief, who attended three-hour long meeting of the district monitoring and vigilance committee in Rae Bareli, took stock of the ongoing development projects in the district.

Congress MLA Sataon Shiv Ganesh Lodhi, who was present at the meeting, said Gandhi reviewed the progress of the ongoing works in her constituency and took feedback from various members of the committee.

She asked the district administration to get welfare and construction works completed as per the norms and warned that no laxity either in the progress or quality would be tolerated, Lodhi said.

Gandhi asked the district magistrate to rectify the shortcomings soon and present its details in the next meeting of the committee, Lodhi said.

Gandhi, who had been getting inputs of shortcomings in the development works, categorically told the officials that stern action would be taken in case any shortcoming was found in the centrally sponsored schemes being run in villages, Lodhi said.

Earlier, Gandhi met party workers, leaders and MLAs at the NTPC guest house here and heard the grievances of her partymen and assured them of quick redressal.
