Speaking on the occasion, Member of Parliament Rajesh Mishra said that SP-led State government has completely failed to overcome the plight of common people across the State and no concrete development works have been done in the State.

“All the problems have taken its devastating form whether it is issue of power supply, water supply or law and order condition, Samajwadi Party-led government has completely failed to overcome the problems of common people and left them on their own fate,” he said.

The common man was fed up with the misrule of the government, he added.

He said that no development work took place in the reign of non-Congress government in the State since 1989.

“All political parties, including Bharatiya Janata Party, Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, who came to power after 1989, have divided the common people in the name of caste and religion”, he said.

He added that people had lot of expectations from the Congress, therefore it was the party’s duty to uproot the SP-led state government.

Presiding over the demonstration, newly-appointed president of District Congress Committee, Harish Chandra Singh, stressed upon the need to propagate the policies of the United Progressive Alliance government among the common people.

He strongly criticised the Samajwadi Party-led State government and said that
common people were reeling under a sense of insecurity due to poor law and order situation.

He added that the Mulayam government has failed to redress common issues.

Other prominent leaders who addressed the demonstration included Vijay Shankar Pandey, Dayashankar Mishra, Mani Bhushan Singh , VP Singh, Radheshyam Mishra, Dinesh Tiwari, Om Prakash Singh, Yatindra Chaturvedi and Ramesh Singh.
