THE PARTICIPANTS of the tribal and cricket talent search camp met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the City on Monday. The camp is being organised by State Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
Chouhan, speaking on the occasion, assured to increase the budgetary allocation for sports in the next fiscal year. “A remarkable achievement has been made by State sportspersons in the last three years and activities have also increased”, said Chouhan.
He further said that the State Government is committed to provide all the necessary support to the sports activities. According to the Director Sports Sanjay Chaudhary, 114 players from Dhar, Jhabua, Badwani, Mandla, Khargone and other districts are participating in the camp.
Games including athletics, hockey, boxing, and water sports are being organised. About the cricket talent search, he said that trainers have been instructed to give emphasis on the physical fitness and skills of the players.
Besides, personality development, yoga and aerobics classes are being organised in the camp. In all 34 players are learning important tips. Son of Chouhan, Kartik, is also among the participants of the cricket camp. On the occasion, Sanjay Chaudhary, joint director Dr Vinod Pradhan and others were present.
