With almost two hours of polling remaining, Srinagar constituency has crossed last elections turnout of 25.5%.

At 3pm the turnout was 26.5%, a little more than the last Lok Sabha elections. While the assembly segment of Srinagar continued to show a low turnout of 8.58%, Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah's assembly constituency Ganderbal witnessed brisk polling of 38.77%, central Kashmir's Budgam area also recorded a turnout of 32.29%.
"Good news is that Srinagar is peaceful. We are hopeful of a win," said Peoples Democractic Party (PDP) spokesperson Nayeem Akhtar.
