State PR Dept gets prestigious award

THE STATE?S Public Relations Department has been selected for prestigious award of Association of Business Communicators of India, Mumbai, in Social Responsibility Communications category for this year. The award would be given at the 46th Annual Awards Nite of the association to be held on Friday at the Tata Theatre, Nariman Point, Mumbai.

The award is being given to the Public Relations Department in recognition of its committed efforts to enhancing awareness against social evils like child marriage and dowry and to promote a congenial atmosphere for education.

Earlier, the award had been given to multinational companies like Goodlass Nerolac Paints, Hindustan Lever and Tata Chemicals.

Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna would present the award at the function to be attended among others by Members of Rajya Sabha Prof Balasaheb Apte, F K Thakur, Director of Tata Sons Dr J J Irani, and Managing Director of Kansai Nerolac Paints H M Bhuruka. Rajshree Birla would be the guest of honour.
