The agitated employees were demanding arrest of Block chief PN Singh and his supporters who had allegedly beaten up the block development officer (BDO) of Araziline development block on December 7.

It may be mentioned that the block chief and his supporters had misbehaved with the BDO of Araziline development block CL Singh and other employees for allegedly grabbing over a fund of Rs 2.8 lakh in the name of development work. Later, the BDO and other officials lodged an FIR in the local police station against the block chief and his supporters.

On this issue, the state employees raised a demand for the arrest of the block chief and his supporters.

Patron of Vikas Bhawan Karmchari Mahasangh, Arvind Kumar Pandey said the agitation of state employees would continue till the arrest of block chief and his supporters. He further claimed that all the 26 departments remained closed today and no official work was done there.

Other state employees’ leaders including Mahima Dutt Dwivedi (President of Vikash Bhawan Rajya Karamchari Mahasangh), BN Chaubey, Dinesh Singh, Sitaram and SP Singh strongly criticised the state government and said that it had completely failed to secure the interests of state employees.

They warned the district administration that if the culprits were not arrested, the state government employees of Vikas Bhawan would launch a massive agitation.
