I want to study science but my Class X exams did not go well. I’m very tense and keep thinking about it although my parents tell me its okay. But it is a big thing for me. Please advise.
Young people, particularly those in Classes X and XII experience some nervousness or apprehension before, during, or after an exam. This is called “examination anxiety.” Lack of confidence, fear of failure, and other negative thought processes contribute to these kinds of anxiety.

I do understand your concern. Simply keep your cool and remove negative thoughts from your mind, because these are not going to help, instead you might get yourself into severe depression.

You need support from your parents and luckily, you are already getting that. Discuss your fears with them and let them help you.

Don’t you think you require some time to relax after your exams and be sure this is the thing that would make you prepared for the next few years of rigorous studies? Remember you are stressing yourself by worrying about your score in the board exam, which might not be the only parameter to decide upon the subject options for Class XI. So, just relax and enjoy your holidays.
