WITH AN aim to give more focus on quality and completion of task within timeframe, the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has started the ‘Quality Month November 2006’.
A function was organasied on the occasion of ‘Quality Month-2006’ at HAL complex on Wednesday. General manager HAL Jagdish Raj inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, Raj laid more emphasis on the quality in production and servicing being done by the HAL transport division at Kanpur.
He further said that HAL has proved its worth in the field of the aeronautical engineering in the past and had been appreciated for the same not only in the country, but also by other countries too.
On the occasion, special invitees and chief resident inspector DK Kapil briefed about the importance of the quality control and also told about the quality aspects in the industry. Besides, he advised that the people should always be like an alert soldier and vigilant in their work place.
The regional officer of RCMA and airworthiness officer of DGCA along with senior officer of the HAL also attended the function.
Meanwhile, a costumer education programme was held to mark the ongoing vigilance week in the HAL for bringing awareness among the contractors, vendors and suppliers working with HAL.
The gathering was explained in detail about the procedure and rules being followed by the HAL for purchase of material, construction of buildings, outsourcing, and other maintenance work. They were asked for suggestion to ensure the fairness, transparency and honesty in the relationship.
