Minister of State for Home Nagendra Singh has stressed on skill up-gradation of police force and revamping of law & order situation in the state.

The minister, while reviewing the police modernization plan at PHQ today, stressed on providing computer training to policemen posted at police stations. Singh also had a round at an exhibition on police modernization plan. He assured that sufficient funds would be provided towards maintenance and up-gradation.
He said MP stands amongst top three states in the country in modernization process. “The state has spent more than Rs 429 crore within a period of 2000 to 2005 in bringing professional skills and motivation to police force in state,” he added.
The exhibition showcased modern arms and ammunition procured by the state police, which includes 7047 latest arms bought by the department.
