See everyone is waiting, together, chatting and dancing, Laughing, clapping and celebrating, writes Renu Khandelawal, Gurgaon.

See everyone is waiting,
Together, chatting and dancing,
Laughing, clapping and celebrating,
Recalling, resolving and welcoming,
Partying, enjoying and beating,
The bitter cold and the dark lawn,
Just for the new dawn.

All waited for a new year,
Weeping the tears of near & dear,
Swearing cheers all through their fear,
Placing their lives in new gear,
Leaping the hope bright and clear,
Just for the new dawn, the New Year.
Wishing one another the happy New Year`…
