Suspected LeT 'commandant' Ibrahim Moulavi (48) was arrested on Friday night at Badiyadukka in the district on specific information collected by the ATS, police said.

Hailing from Vellimunda of Wayanad district of Kerala, Moulavi had been residing at Badiyadukka for the last one-and-a-half years, police said.

The Bangalore blasts in July 2008 had left a woman dead and 20 others injured.

Moulavi was also allegedly involved in the Ernakulam Collectorate bomb blast in July last year and also in the recruitment of youths for militant activities in Kashmir, police said. None was injured in the Collectorate bomb blast that was triggered by an improvised explosive device.

The ATS has taken Moulavi to Bangalore, police said.
