Suspended CBI judge in 2-week judicial custody

Suspended CBI judge T Pattabhirama Rao, who is one of the key accused in the cash-for-bail scam involving former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, was on Tuesday sent to jail after the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court remanded him in judicial custody for two weeks.

Suspended CBI judge T Pattabhirama Rao, who is one of the key accused in the cash-for-bail scam involving former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, was on Tuesday sent to jail after the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court remanded him in judicial custody for two weeks.

Rao, who was arrested from his residence, was taken ACB headquarters for questioning. Later, he was produced in the same ACB court, which he had once presided.

It is likely that the ex-judge will be sent to Chanchalguda jail, which also houses YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, one former minister and three IAS officers.
