Suzlon wins $258 mln Danish turbine order

The huge order from Denmark's John Deere Wind Energy is for supply of turbines that can generate 247 megawatts.
Indian wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy Ltd said on Monday its unit had got an order worth Rs 11.9 billion ($258 million) from Denmark's John Deere Wind Energy to supply turbines that can generate 247 megawatts.
The company said its total order book position stood at Rs 57.77 billion.

Shares in the company rose 4 percent to Rs 1,212 in a firm Mumbai market.
