Swaraj dismisses Liberhan report

Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday slammed the Liberhan panel report on Babri Mosque demolition as politically motivated and baseless. Swaraj said it took 17 years for the report to come out instead of three month given at the first instance to prepare it.

Swaraj also expressed her displeasure over the inclusion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the report saying that the commission has wrongly blamed the former prime minister. She also expressed surprise over no mention of Narsimha Rao in the report, who was the prime minister when the Babri Masjid incident took place.

Swaraj further said that the report had failed to prove that Babri demolition was pre-planned.
