"Since the Prime Minister himself is a Sikh, he should strongly take up the issue of ban on turban in France with the French President to resolve it", Badal told reporters here today.

Badal, who himself wrote to the Prime Minister in this regard earlier, said Akali Dal MP S S Dhindsa had also written to Manmohan Singh requesting him to take an appointment with the French President so that a delegation of SAD MPs could meet the visiting dignitary and impress upon him the sanctity of the turban to a Sikh.
