Successful managers lead by example. They share all the necessary information with the staff working with them. By doing so, they are able to earn the confidence of their colleagues and empower them to do their best work.

Here are a few pointers to how to be a better manager. Be present: Visibility is a big factor. So, keep tabs on what’s happening around and ask relevant question.

Take inputs: Instead of taking singular decisions, constantly take inputs from your co-workers. Implement the important ones and thank the employees for their useful suggestions.

Errors do happen: Making mistakes is not a crime or below your dignity. People will lose confidence in you if they think that you are not taking responsibility for your bloomers.

Do it yourself: Don’t ask your colleagues to do anything that you wouldn’t do yourself. Give it your best: Your team is your baby. The more you give them, the more you can expect from them. The objective is to create a team that delivers. Remember, what is great for your company is great for you too.
