One of the most awaited events at the Fashion Week (the jam packed house and a virtual stampede indicated as much) was Tarun Tahiliani's show on Friday.

And with his show, the fashion week finally witnessed the entry of a Bollywood star on Delhi ramp – Shilpa Shetty.

Though the leggy lass turned only for the grand finale, she was undoubtedly the star of the show.

Ramp Rage
Beyonce inspired swarovski jewelled backless halter dominated the collection. Pencil dresses; cigarette pants and cropped capris were also seen.

Lace seems to be the next in thing this season, as most designers are incorporating it in their creations.

The theme of the collection moved from Indian to modern.

Black and beige blended well with jewels on velvet, while prints and paisley motifs on kaftans made them look contemporary.

One could easily notice sensuous cuts like the V, U and boat necklines though back lines dropping till the hips were a little difficult to digest.

Snake-skin prints on skirts and fluid dresses, Bikaneri woollen tweeds in ivory, net and knit jackets, peg skirts, Victorian lace motifs, sultry satin dresses, chiffon and georgette kaftans were the not-to-miss highlights of the show.

Male sexuality
Tarun had a lot for the sexual male as well. Lycra T’s, jerseys, linen and silk straight fit trousers, jamawar, brocade tussar silk and zardozi sherwanis (short) with frog enclosures and Chinese collars looked trendy.

The hint of royal jewels and lace, animal skin and metallic shapes on fluid drapy silhouettes looked ultra luxurious on women. Beige, crème, rusts and similar neutral colours formed the palette.
