The task force has been formed in Allahabad, Varanasi and Vindhyachal civil divisions of Southern Forest zone in UP.
"It has been constituted with the objective to see that no offence with respect to wildlife is committed", said Chief Conservator of Forests, Dr Ashwini Kumar.
Dr Kumar added, In each of the civil divisions, a force has been formed which consists of Chief Conservator of Forest and Assistant Conservator of Forest.
However, in case of emergency the members of the force can immediately take assistance of the other staff, said he.
Members of this force are constantly making efforts to help prevent poaching of wild animals including sloth bear, jungle cat, fishing cat and panther (carnivorous animals), sambhar, wild boar, wild hare and porcupine (herbivorous animals) and black partridge, red spur fowl, pea fowl and grey partridge (avifauna birds) which are found in Southern Forest zone of UP.
"A review meeting will soon be held to see the progress report of the task force", said, Dr Kumar.
Besides, measures are being taken by the department to help conserve the wildlife which includes planting more and more trees which in turn would help in improving habitat of wild animals, added Dr Kumar.
