Teachers honoured at UPMSS jubilee

Speaking as the chief guest, Om Prakash Sharma, State UPMSS president lauded the contribution made by the local teachers for the cause of teachers all over the state.

He described Allahabad city as the land of revolutionary personalities.

Sharma also decried the discrimination between teachers of non-aided colleges and part-time teachers.

“We should also fight for the Sixth Pay Commission report,” said the teacher leader.

Sharma presented shawls to teachers who were honoured on the occasion.
Ram Sewak Tiwari presided over the inaugural function.

Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Panchanan Rai, Suresh Kumar Tripathi, Subhash Sharma, Kunj Bihari Sharma, Mahesh Datt Sharma, Hem Singh Pundir, Jaiveer Kishor Dr YD Singh and others.

Students of Crosthwaite Girls’ Inter College and Rama Devi Inter College presented various colourful cultural programmes on the occasion.
