THE ORIENTAL Institute of Science and Technology will hold a national-level technical symposium ‘Technorientation 2006’ from October 16 on the college campus.
Over 900 students and faculty members from various colleges of the country are expected to participate in the four-day event that would include paper presentation, technical competitions and experience sharing on modern technology updates and viewpoints.
Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism Director General Dr Achyutanand Mishra will inaugurate the event at the institute auditorium on October 16 at 11.00 am.
Meanwhile ‘Acme-2006’ – the three-day event organised by the MCA Department of the Oriental Group of Institutes – began on Saturday with group chairman K L Thakral formally inaugurating the event.
Oriental and Thakral Colleges Chairman Pravin Thakral and Sunita Thakral, principal of the OIST Iqbal Siddiqui, dean Arun Sachdev, dean TCT Alka Sharma, principal R R Nijhawan and PR chief Vishnu Khanna were present. Students presented a group dance and a solo dance.
