Technology festival kicks off at BHU

THE THREE-DAY annual technology festival, ‘Technex-06’, of the Institute of Technology at Banaras Hindu University began at Swatantrata Bhawan on Friday.
The festival began with the display of more than 50 engineering models in the ‘Freescale Modex’ segment.
More than 250 students from over 30 colleges across the country, including the Indian Institute of Technology and National Institute of Technology, are participating in the festival.
Inaugurating the three-day festival, noted car designer and promoter of DC Pvt Ltd Dilip Chhabaria lauded the budding technocrats from their talents. IT director Prof SN Upadhyay presided over the function. Chhabaria gave a lecture on car design.
The manual mobile charger and mechanical birds on display attracted a lot of attention. Other attractions were the Panchatantrika, code warriors, robo-wars, gaming arena, software exhibition, scholarship test, redesigning Banaras and the tech quiz.
