Telangana stir: OU students pledge not to end life

Students of Osmania University in Hyderabad, the nerve-centre of the separate Telangana agitation, today took a pledge against committing suicides in support of the statehood demand.

Students of Osmania University in Hyderabad, the nerve-centre of the separate Telangana agitation, on Wednesday took a pledge against committing suicides in support of the statehood demand.

The pledge was taken after scores of students across Telangana ended their lives for the cause of the statehood demand.

Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) Convenor, M Kodandaram and leaders from TRS, BJP and other outfits were present on the occasion.

The JAC leaders appealed to students not to take extreme steps but fight with vigour for realising the statehood demand.
